Flagler Local Talent
We first wrote about Mai when she was only 15 years old at http://localdaytona.com/mai-tatro.html , but she has certainly come a long way since then. so it is time for an update on this incredibly talented, local young lady.
Mai recently said, "So much has happened since then (publishing of the previous article). As you can see by following my social media I've grown so much as an artist and as a performer in the past couple of years. I have been writing more and more original music and I am currently in the studio, at soundmine Studio in Ormond Beach, recording my debut EP with my producer Alex Budzilek."
During the process of working on her solo project, with Alex Budzilek as a producer, the two artists clicked. So now, along with her solo act, she also performs with Alex in the "Mai & Alex Duo". Both Alex and Mai also perform as part of the new band, "Mai Tatro with Moonlite Drive-In". The band is Mai on lead vocals, Alex on guitar and Luke Putting on drums. Both Alex and Luke sing harmony and as part of a duo and a band, Mai is exploring new aspects of her talent. Mai has been performing 3 to 4 days a week as a solo act for the past several years. She has performed in Daytona Beach, Flagler, St. Augustine, Orlando, Ocala, Winter Park, Winter Garden, Tavares and more. She is bringing that experience as a musician to the stage with the band. Mai said, "I can't say enough about how happy I am with this project and how excited I am for everyone to see and hear us."
Ma is excited about many of the upcoming performances and is really looking forward to opening for grammy award winner Kenny Neal at the 2017 "Kids Rock the Nation annual fund raiser" at the Bank & Blues Club on Main Street in Daytona Beach on December 4th, 2017.
Between her solo performances, the duo and the band, it would be impossible for this article to list them all and keep them current. You can find all of her show dates at www.MaiTatroMusic.com
