Flagler Beach, Florida, is a laid back beach town reminiscent of time gone by. No highrise condos block the view of the beach and ocean. Driving through Flagler Beach on A1A is one of the most scenic drives you can experience. On one side is the beach, on the other an eclectic collection of restaurants and shops and a few small hotels. There is an iconic, A-Frame building, through which you access the Flagler Beach Pier. The pier is a great place for fishing, or viewing the ocean. Flagler Beach is well known as a place to watch magnificent sunrises and a spectacular (and crowded) Fourth of July Fireworks show. Most other times, Flagler Beach is not usually crowded at all. The surfers are there and parts of the beach are Pet friendly.
