Between 1980 and 2003, Cheryle Correa was the lead vocalist in cover bands that included gospel, country, blues, do-wop, and classic rock. After several years performing with various cover bands, Cheryle made the big move to Nashville, Tennessee to further her career as a singer/songwriter. While living in Nashville, she sang regularly at Tootsies, Legends Corner, Layla's Bluegrass Inn, Roberts Western World and the original Nashville Palace. After several years honing her craft in Nashville, Cheryle moved on landing in Flagler Beach, Florida.
Cheryle has recorded three albums; recordings include a full length CD titled "I Keep Dreaming" of all originals tunes she composed, a CD comprised of her favorite cover songs, and a Christmas album of classic Christmas favorites.
Cheryle is a long time voting member of NARAS (The Recording Academy), a BMI affiliated songwriter, has opened for Kathy Mattea, appeared on Charlie Daniels's Talent Round-Up, was a trophy winning finalist in 2005 Sonic Search for A Star and appeared as an extra in Toby Keith's video "Honky Tonk U".
March 2015 Cheryle was awarded the Bronze Medal Award from Global Music Awards in the country category for her original composition “Too Busy To Be Lonely”, which also took “fan favorite” award for the month of March 2015.
Today Cheryle can be found singing as a solo artist at events and establishments in central Florida. Her song selections cover everything from the 1950's do-wop, classic rock, Motown, memorable power ballads, all the favorite line dances, old and current country as well as selected current top 40 pop (with a sprinkle of her originals)…
