It's a short trip back to "Old Florida" - the relaxing Florida, before hustle, bustle and traffic jams of big cities and theme parks. It's a place where Southern Hospitality (in deed and word) is genuine and not just a script memorized by employees.  Small pockets of "Old Florida" still exist throughout the state, but they get more rare as time goes on.

Fortunately for the residents of Flagler County there is a wonderful example just 10 miles west of the city of Palm Coast at the Bull Creek Camp Grounds at 3861 CR 2006 in Bunnell, FL 32110.  The Bull Creek Fish Camp Restaurant is surrounded by natural beauty on the shores of Dead Lake. (The lake is anything but, "Dead" and got its name because it was the last stop on the steamboat line of the early 1900's).  The lake has an abundance of wildlife and great fishing for Speckled Perch, Brim or Bass.

At the Bull Creek Fish Camp Restaurant, the food is cooked with the best, fresh ingredients and a bushel of Southern Love and served with that true Southern Hospitality mentioned earlier.  They offer traditional Southern fare, sometimes with a deliciously unique twist.

Their breakfast ranges from a unique "Grubby Gator Biscuit" (Gator tail over a fried egg with Provolone Cheese, with grits or homefries) to the best choice if you are really hungry, the "Creekside Breakfast Platter" ( 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes or french toast, grits and home fries and a biscuit and gravy).  Make sure you are hungry!

Their lunch and dinner menus feature too many outstanding dishes to list, from crab cakes, po' boys, shrimp, catfish, shrimp and grits, and if you are really hungry they have an amazing "Low Country Boil" (Crab clusters, shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussles, andouille sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob).

You will be equally amazed by the quality of the food and the affordable prices.  The relaxing beauty of the natural setting, the most beautiful sunset in Flagler County, the hospitality of the staff and the friendliness of the other patrons make the Bull Creek Fish Camp Restaurant a fantastic place to enjoy a meal.  It is also great place to host a party or event and they also provide offsite catering

The atmosphere is generated from the top of the organization.  Their mission statement is:

“OUR MISSION AT THE BULL CREEK FISH CAMP IS TO ENSURE OUR GUESTS ARE PROVIDED EXCELLENT FOOD AND OUTSTANDINGING SERVICE IN A WARM, DOWN HOME ATMOSPHERE. AND TO PROMOTE, FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE RESPONSIBLE ECOTOURISM THROUGHOUT FLAGLER COUNTY, DEAD LAKE, BULL CREEK PARK AND THE COMMUNITIES WE ARE PRIVILEGED TO SERVE”
