A Native Floridian, Bill Whedbee is a poet, husband, father to seven children and stepchildren and a journalist for http://localmagazines.info . He began writing poetry as a method of dealing with severe chronic pain. The subjects of his poetry vary from dark despair and regret to hopeful redemption and peace. He writes mostly in rhyming quatrains, but never allows the rhyme to dictate the direction or meaning of the poem. He also writes traditional Haiku, Patoum and other short form styles.
