When Tim Baker arrived in Florida in October, 2006 the only thing he had in abundance was spare time. In April, 2007 a strange dream provided him with a way to fill some of that time…by writing a book.
Two years later that novel, Living the Dream, was released. Since then, Tim has released six other novels, all taking place in Flagler Beach, a collection of short stories based upon his iconic and charismatic main character Ike, and co-written two zombie novellas which take place in European Village.
The rising popularity of Tim’s work has drawn comparisons to the likes of Elmore Leonard, Tim Dorsey, Carl Hiassen and Randy Wayne White…all of which Tim welcomes with pride.
When he isn’t writing Tim can be heard on Flagler Beach’s radio station Surf 97.3 FM weekday mornings from 10:00-1:00 and Friday nights from 7:00-10:00.
Some of the interests he has no time for are motorcycles, scuba diving and sports of all kinds – with a special lifelong love of the Boston Red Sox.
Look for Tim’s next novel, Full Circle, in the fall of 2015.
